Hmm, I was thinking about buying the first one to try out the VR mode recently, maybe it will end up heavily discounted with the sequel out. Though Project Cars in VR was not a good experience so perhaps games are not the best way to go. Driving is not out though, European Truck Simulator 2 is vastly better experience in VR.

60 for the normal version, 80 for the Deluxe which comes with 4 day early access, the first 2 seasons of DLC, and the Porsche 911 RGT. The DLC seasons are pretty loaded with season 1 including 6 cars, 3 rallies (remasters of Monte, Sweden, and Germany from Dirt Rally 1), and 3 liveries. Nothing on Season 2 yet but CM has said each season will include 5 cars, 3 tracks/rallies, and 3 liveries which made the extra $20 worth it to me.

You missed it, DR1 was on sale for $8 a week ago.

I have only tried VR in iRacing. I would like to try it in DR if I got the chance.

I have a G27 wheel at home but I will be using a controller for a little while as I have no room for the wheel in my current apartment . I played DR1 with a controller for a little while (probably 2 of my 70 hours) and it was manageable if not fast.

I have found that it is feast or famine for my G27. When I get it out and mount it on my desk it will usually stay there for a few days. Often I can’t be bothered to set it up. I think I will get more use out of it when I get a wheel stand and don’t have to set it up every time I want to use it.

It gets compounded for me by the G27s drivers not working great with Windows 10. I have to reinstall the drivers after every Windows update or it treats my G27 as a Driving Force GT for some reason.
